A Thank You From Amanda Overmyer

Hi everyone! I figured the best way to contact all of you was through this Blog. My first Blog mind ya! So here goes!

I personally want to thank each and every one of you for all of the support, love and kind words you have bestowed upon me! I was able to view a lot of your comments but I was not able to respond. I do not think words could describe how you all have made me feel. I even got the support of people who I never thought would get me! Oh Chile ! I love you all!!

I want to let you all know that I am doing fine. I am completely satisfied with the outcome. I accomplished what I set out to accomplish and with out you I never would have made it as far as I did. Always double down on 11!

A lot of you have been asking what is next for me. There are people talking to people. What all that means is yet to be determined! My goal is to perform for people who like to hear me sing. If that is a large venue or just sitting around a fire pit with friends I am okay with it.

I’d like to close and say again how each of you has touched my heart! This is not the end of my Blog, this is the beginning of what I hope to be a fantastic journey that I can share with you all!

Randy told her…You rocked it out in a southern bar sorta way - I loved it! I thought it was cool, man! Very cool! Very cool!

After another standing ovation, Paula commented…You are a star up there! I am blown away, blown away by you!

And Simon said…I didn't think it was as good as last week, actually. Having said that, I think it's a very good thing that you're in this competition because you are like a breath of fresh air when you come on.

With every performance I'm becoming a bigger fan of Amanda's! I love the way she can take a song and "rock it up" as she said. Now that it's down to 11, it's just going to get more and more difficult each week. So keep watching and, of course, keep voting!

American Idol Amanda Overmyer Receives Praise From.... Simon?

Tonight Tuesday night March 5th, 2008 Amanda Over rocked the house in American Idol and from Simon himself said that his favorite performance of the night was Amanda Overmyer's. This is a huge step after a very average showing last week, she bumps up the volume and destroys the week before with her brilliant performance this week.
